Polish railway freight carrier PKP Cargo has published a tender for 20 locomotives at a value of PLN 400 million (EUR 93.53 million). These locomotives will operate on tracks to Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Belgium and Hungary. The first locomotives should be put into operation in August 2016, the remaining ones in March 2017. PKP Cargo is the second largest freight carrier in the European Union (EU).
